McKayla Rose Maroney (also known as "Mack Air Maroney") is an American known gymnast. She was awarded gold by team US Olympian gymnastics team and a silver individual medal in the Summer Olympic Games in 2012. Her first experience in gymnastics was when she was a child since her parents were athletes. She is a specialist in vaulting. She is the only gymnast who has been able to successfully defend her gold medal. She which she first won in the 2011 World Championship, and followed by defending it at the 2013 Championship. It was disappointing for her to win only a silver in the Olympics in 2012. She hoped for a gold medal to be taken home again in the Rio Olympic Games. The athlete had to quit gymnastics because of physical injuries and health concerns. Apart from gymnastics, she was a part of television shows. She also plans to start singing.
